November recognizes three important caregiving considerations and one crucial group of family caregivers.  

National Family Caregivers Month

This month recognizes and honors family caregivers. Life and Work Connections seeks to uphold and honor the university working or student caregiver with each consultation, presentation, or community task force. Find out more about national and local advocacy and support at the community and national levels.  

National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month 
There are many different types and intensities of caregiving. November is the month to heighten awareness about Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementia, including the fact that more than 6.2 million Americans and their families seek a quality of life with this challenging diagnosis. Learn more about this diagnosis, family caregiving, and advocacy for change and support.  

National Native American Heritage Month.  

When we consider the different types and intensities of caregiving, we are reminded of the diversity and rich cultural needs of American Indian and Alaska Native people as caregivers and recipients of care. Find out more about care considerations and challenges, advocacy, and support.
